Congratulations to Our 2025 Scholarship Recipients!
The Giorgianni Legacy Scholarship: Awarded $2,500 to one individual who submitted a video expressing what legacy means to them and how they plan to leave their mark.
The Trax Academic Scholarship: Awarded $1,000 each to eight individuals who submitted an essay about designing a financial literacy program tailored for high school students in their community. Their essays outlined key components of their proposed programs, emphasizing how these initiatives would equip young people with the knowledge and skills necessary for financial independence.
Applications were evaluated based on categories that include, but are not limited to Community Involvement, Educational Accolades, Overall Grade Point Average, and Credit Union knowledge. Thank you to all those who applied, and we encourage you to apply again next year! We wish you each good luck in your future endeavors and are proud to call you Trax members!

Logan Shoop
Giorgianni Legacy Scholarship Winner
Logan graduated with a cumulative 4.0 GPA from Sumner High School in 2024. During high school, Logan was an active member of his school's FFA, Key Club, and National Honor Society chapters. He currently goes to the University of Florida and is majoring in Finance. During his first year in college, he became a Gator Student Funds Analyst and a Beta Alpha Psi Finance Honor Society member. Logan also serves as one of our Youth Advisory Board members!

Isamara Flores-Hernandez
Isamara is a student at the University of South Florida's Taneja College of Pharmacy, working to obtain her doctorate in Pharmacy! She graduated from Strawberry Crest High School in 2021 and obtained a 3.9 GPA while there. She was a member of her high school's National Honor Society chapter and their varsity soccer team.

Nathan Grier
Nathan currently attends Hillsborough Community College, pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity, and currently holds a 3.7 GPA. He graduated from Tampa Bay Technical High School in 2023, where he participated in USF's Upward Bound Program to help better prepare him for college. In his free time, Nathan volunteers to mentor elementary school students with G3 Life Applications!

Annistyn Griffin
Annistyn graduated from Durant High School this year with a 3.8 cumulative GPA. During high school, she was an active member in her school's FFA and National Honor Society chapters. She served on her school's Student Council throughout high school and even served as the President her senior year. She also participates in pageants and is currently Miss Plant City Teen 2025! In her free time, Annistyn volunteers with South Florida Baptist Hospital and Bells Shoals church. She plans on attending Hillsborough Community College and majoring in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.

Leo Jones
Leo currently goes to Hillsborough Community College, where he holds a 3.2 GPA and is studying Computer Science on an Engineering track. He graduated from Armwood High School in 2024 where he also maintained a 3.2 GPA. In his free time, Leo volunteers with Metropolitan Ministries to help feed the homeless in our community.

Gloria Laguerre
Gloria graduated from Lennard High School in 2023 with a 3.7 GPA. She participated in her school's Student Government Association, National Honor Society, Key Club, and USF's Upward Bound Program. She currently goes to the University of North Florida pursuing a degree in Nursing and holds a 3.5 GPA.

Jordan Maxwell
Jordan currently attends Howard University and is majoring in Music Business. He graduated from Armwood High School with a cumulative 3.6 GPA and was an active member of the Armwood Hawk Band, Boys and Girls Club, and the Hillsborough County Youth Leadership Council.

Jorge Sepúlveda
Jorge attends Saint Leo University, pursing a degree in Social Work, and currently holds a 3.65 GPA. He volunteers with Feeding Tampa Bay and the Church of God in Ruskin, where he serves as a ministry leader. He graduated from Colegio Bautista de Carolina in Puerto Rico with a cumulative 3.0 GPA.

Josephine Yarlott
Josephine graduated from Florida Virtual School in 2022 with a 3.5 GPA. She currently attends Hillsborough Community College and is pursuing a degree in Graphic Design. She is very active in her church, serving as a small group leader for her church's Children's Ministry. She has also gone on several mission trips to Zimbabwe, Botswana, Zambia, and South Africa, helping to better their quality of life and run a community ministry! She teaches drama at Overflow Church's Fine Arts program for middle and high school students and serves as a camp leader for their summer camps.
