Congratulations to Our 2026
Scholarship Recipients!
The Giorgianni Legacy Scholarship: Awarded $2,500 to one individual who submitted a video expressing what legacy means to them and how they plan to leave their mark, as well as an essay explaining how their community shaped who they are, and how they hope to contribute to their community's legacy in the future.
The Trax Academic Scholarship: Awarded $1,000 each to four individuals who submitted an essay about designing a financial literacy program tailored for high school students in their community. Their essays outlined key components of their proposed programs, emphasizing how these initiatives would equip young people with the knowledge and skills necessary for financial independence.
The Trax Trade/Vocational Scholarship: Awarded $1,000 each to two individuals who submitted an essay describing what "People Helping People" means to them and how they will use their trade to help people in the future.
Applications were evaluated based on categories that include, but are not limited to Community Involvement, Educational Accolades, Overall Grade Point Average, and Credit Union knowledge. Thank you to all those who applied, and we encourage you to apply again next year! We wish you each good luck in your future endeavors and are proud to call you Trax members!
Jordan Maxwell
Giorgianni Legacy Scholarship Winner
Jordan is a Jazz Studies Major at Howard University, holding a 3.64 GPA! He graduated from Armwood High School in 2024 and was an active member of the Hawk Band, serving as the Percussion Section Leader and earning the Louis Armstrong Award! He was also on the Hillsborough County Youth Leadership Council and was recognized as the Boys and Girls Club of Tampa Bay’s Youth of the Year twice! He lends his talent at the International Harvest Center Church of God as a musician and Music Director.

Atiya Blaxton
Atiya graduated this year from Strawberry Crest High School with a cumulative 3.6 GPA. During her time in high school, she was a dance instructor, captain of her basketball team, and part of the National Honor Society and Student Council! She also volunteers in the community, doing food drives for foster care and feeding the homeless. She plans on attending Hillsborough College in the fall to pursue a degree in Business Administration.
Makayla Coyle
Makayla is a Political Science Major at the University of South Florida and holds a 3.7 GPA! She graduated from Manatee School of the Arts in 2025 with a 3.9 GPA. While in high school, Makayla was President of the National Art Honor Society at her school and the Historian & Treasurer of her school’s chapter of the Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA). This past year, she has interned with Elder Law Firm of Clements & Wallace and planned and organized event materials for Florida Southern College’s Constitution Day, in partnership with their Political Science Department!
Camryn Howard
Camryn graduated from Blake High School this year with a cumulative 3.8 GPA! She was an active member of her school’s Thespian Troupe, working as a costume designer for her school’s theater productions, earning her multiple Superior and Top Honors ratings for her designs! She also obtained her Masters Certification in Costume Design and a Florida Fine Arts Designation. Camryn was also a part of the International Thespian Society and the Environmental Sustainability Club. She has been admitted to Florida Gulf Coast University’s Honors College and will major in Marketing!
Collin Newberg
Collin is a Computer Science Major at the University of South Florida and currently holds a 3.47 GPA. He is an avid tennis player and member of USF’s Club Tennis team. He graduated from Cherokee Trail High School in 2023, where he was a Teacher Assistant, Captain of the Varsity Tennis Team, and an AP Scholar with Distinction, earning a 3.6 GPA! In his free time, Collin volunteers at Eastern Hills Church and gives back to his high school as a volunteer tennis racquet stringer.

Garrett Dobbins
Garrett serves the community as a firefighter paramedic and attends Virginia Peninsula Community College, where he maintains a 4.0 GPA. He is currently pursuing a degree in Emergency Medicine, but has plans to continue his education and become a Registered Nurse! He graduated from Polk Works Young Leaders with a cumulative 4.0 GPA.
Johnkera Lawrence
Johnkera is a Diagnostic Medical Sonography student at Southern Technical College and holds a 3.23 GPA. She graduated from Sumner High School in 2025 with a 4.0 GPA! In her free time, Johnkera volunteers at a foster home and gives out food to the homeless!
